Chelsea will go into next weekend's final round of Premier League fixtures in the top five with Marc Cucurella's second-half goal enough to beat Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
A disappointing evening all in all for Chelsea. United thought they took the lead early on when Harry Maguire turned in Bruno Fernandes' cross. However, after a VAR check, the defender was deemed to be in an offside position and the goal was ruled out.
VAR then denied Chelsea a penalty in the second-half. Tyrique George went down after Andre Onana came rushing out to try and get the ball. Chris Kavanagh went over to the monitor and changed his mind.
Chelsea, though, took the lead not too long after with Cucurella heading past Onana after a fabulous piece of skill and cross from captain Reece James. Stamford Bridge, after that, was the loudest it has been all season.
The Blues are in the top five heading into the final round of fixtures. Below, Bobby Vincent rates the Chelsea players out of 10 based on their performances at Stamford Bridge:
Robert Sanchez - Miskicks on 19 minutes and the crowd got on his back a bit. Didn't have much to do. Saves Amad's shot well on around 80 minutes. 6.
Reece James - First league start since the win at Fulham last month. Does really well early on to prevent Rasmus Hojlund at the far post. Delivers a sensational assist for Cucurella. It is out of this world good. 8.
Tosin Adarabioyo - Did okay. Got better as the game went on. 6.
Levi Colwill - Started sloppily. Got a bit better as the game progressed but by no means his best after impressing at Newcastle United five days prior. 5.
Marc Cucurella - Aggressive. On the front foot. Did really well against a dangerous Amad. Scores such a massive goal. Chelsea's hero. 8.
Moises Caicedo - I feel like I write the same thing every game but he is just constantly winning the ball back. Such an enormous asset to this Chelsea side. Another imperious performance from Chelsea's Player of the Season. 8.
Enzo Fernandez - Battle with the other Fernandes that seemed to go on all game-long. The United Fernandes seemed to get the better of him. Didn't offer his usual threat in attack. 5.
Noni Madueke - Misses a good chance early on. On the left again, but doesn't look as impactful as recent appearances on that side. 5.
Cole Palmer - Plays a sensational pass to Madueke early on that deserved to be an assist but wasn't. Bright. Needs to shoot more like the Palmer from last season. He was bright, though, and looked the most likely going forward for the Blues. 7.
Pedro Neto - A couple of nice moments but a lack of end product let Neto down. He had the beating of Patrick Dorgu and Luke Shaw on plenty of occasions, though. 5.
Tyrique George - Looked too isolated playing as the No.9. He could not get much of the ball and when he did, the hold-up play was not quite there. 5.
Romeo Lavia (on for George 81') - Some minutes to help see the game out. N/A.
Malo Gusto (on for Neto 90') - See above. N/A.
