In Bihar, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Chandrashekhar Azad of Azad Samaj Party and Swami Prasad Maurya are attempting to forge a third front under the Grand Democratic Alliance banner. The alliance will contest 64 seats - AIMIM on 35, ASP on 25, and Maurya's party on four.
Owaisi is targeting minority-dominated constituencies, ASP will focus on Magadh-Shahabad and border districts, and Maurya's party will contest select seats. The leaders plan joint rallies to mobilise minorities, SCs, and OBCs. Owaisi's previous alliance in 2020 won five AIMIM seats, but four MLAs later defected to the RJD.
