Renowned playback singer Shreya Ghoshal has finally regained control of her X (formerly Twitter) account after it was hacked in February. Sharing an update with her fans on Sunday, Shreya posted a heartfelt video and a written message expressing relief that the issue had been resolved. She also issued a strong warning against fake ads and AI-generated content misusing her name and image on the platform.

In her post, the singer shared, “I am back!! I will be talking and writing here often..Yes my X account has been in trouble as it got hacked in February. Now I have finally had the help from the @X team after lot of struggles in establishing a proper communication. All is well!! Now I am here.”

Earlier Appeal for Help Went Unanswered
Shreya had earlier informed fans via Instagram on March 1 that she had been unable to access her account since February 13. At the time, she wrote, “Hello fans and friends. My Twitter/X account has been hacked since February 13th. I have tried everything in my capacity to reach out to the X team, but there has been no response beyond a few auto-generated replies. I am unable to even delete my account since I can't log in anymore.”

In the recent video message, Shreya thanked a member of X’s India team for assisting her. “Hello, everyone. I'm back on X Twitter. Yes. Lots of, you know, communication and struggles. I finally have my account with me. Someone from the India team, very sweet person helped me out in this. Thank you so much for that,” she said.

Fake Ads and AI Images Misusing Identity
However, even as her account is back, the singer raised concerns about misleading advertisements featuring AI-generated images and clickbait headlines. “There are many weird ads that are running which are articles about me with very absurd headlines and AI generated pictures. These are click baits, which lead to spam/fraudulent links. Please keep reporting these ads. I have no power in putting them down. I have tried my best,” she explained.

Shreya further elaborated in her video, “These are the ads which are basically running and where people because it's such a breaking news or negative sensational headline... when people, see these headlines, they click on it and then the article starts and there is some kind of a spam or fraudulent link in it. So please don't click on these things and if you see them, keep reporting it.”

The singer emphasized that this issue extends beyond her, stating, “These are, you know, the platform X has to do something about it. They have to do some sort of a moderation of what kind of ads can really run on these platforms. I cannot do anything about it. It's not just me alone. There are many people who are facing these issues, many other celebrities as public faces.”

Amidst all the digital chaos, Shreya continues to charm music lovers. Her recent songs include Naa Naa Hyraanaa from Game Changer, Hilesso Hilessa from Thandel, Nafarmaniyan from Pintu Ki Pappi, and Baby Chiki Chiki from Kadhalikka Neramillai.
