Watch: Man swims through waterlogged street in Delhi

Send Push
Delhi and the National Capital Region on Wednesday witnessed heavy rainfall, which led to waterlogging and traffic snarls in several parts of the city.

Visuals of flooded streets across Delhi and Noida emerged on social media. There was one video which showed a man swimming through a flooded street which was shared by many users across platforms.

The video garnered mix reactions from social media users. Some internet users found humor in the situation, while others pointed out the underlying civic failures. One user noted, "Yun hi nahi Delhi top 10 dirtiest cities of India ma hai. (Delhi isn't in the list of India's top 10 dirtiest cities for nothing)"

Another remarked, "Drainage not clean. Why MCD not working to dislog the drains, while another said, "Delhi ka haal behaal."

Another user observed, "So everyone is expecting a miracle in 6 months? I know some massive new drainage work is in progress, so the results will hopefully be seen in a couple of years. While flooding is seen even in the most developed cities, this should not happen with just a few hours of rainfall."
