Sawan Budh Pradosh 2025 Puja Vidhi: The month of Sawan is considered to be the most sacred time for the worship of Lord Shiva. Offering water to Shivling, fasting and chanting Shiva mantras throughout this month gives special fruits to the devotees. The Pradosh fast coming in this month also has special significance, and when this fast falls on Wednesday, it is called Budh Pradosh Vrat. This fast is on a special day, i.e., today in Sawan 2025, which is considered a golden opportunity to get the blessings of Lord Shiva. Fasting and worshiping on this day brings happiness, peace, and prosperity in life. It is believed that Shivaji fulfills all the true wishes of his devotees on this day. When is the last Budh Pradosh fast of Sawan?
According to the Vedic calendar, the Trayodashi Tithi of Sawan Shukla Paksha will start on August 6, 2025, at 2:08 pm and end on August 7 at 2:27 pm. The Pradosh fast falling on this date is especially observed in the evening, when Pradosh Kaal occurs. Therefore, the last Pradosh fast of Sawan is being observed today, 6 August 2025, Wednesday.

-Sunrise: 5:45 am
-Sunset: 7:08 pm
-Brahma Muhurta: 4:20 am to 5:03 am
-Vijay Muhurta: 2:41 pm to 3:34 pm

Benefits of fasting on Budh Pradosh
The person who fasts with devotion on this day and worships Lord Shiva gets permanent happiness, wealth, land, and a vehicle in life. Along with this, the condition of the planets improves, mental peace is attained, and relief from old diseases is obtained.
Correct method of worship
1. Wake up in the morning, take a bath, and wear clean clothes.
2. Place the Shivling on a pedestal or go to the temple for worship.
3. Offer water on Shivling, offer Bel leaves, and Aak flowers.
4. Chant Shiva mantras while offering incense, lamp and flowers.
5. Offer fruits and sweets to God.
6. Read or listen to the story of Pradosh Vrat in the evening.
7. Finally, do the Aarti of Lord Shiva and take blessings along with the family.

Special things to note
- Eat satvik food on this day and maintain restraint.
- The person observing the fast should remember Lord Shiva throughout the day.
- If possible, do Ratri Jagran and recite Shiv Chalisa.
