Chanakya Niti For Life: Acharya Chanakya has been one of the greatest thinkers in Indian history. His policies are not only relevant in politics and society, but by adopting his ideas in personal life also, we can take our life in the right direction. Chanakya presented his views on every aspect of life, out of which some such policies teach us which people we should avoid and why.

Chanakya believed that there are many people in life, whose company can be harmful to us. Especially evil, negative, and arrogant people can disturb our mental peace. Acharya Chanakya has given an important suggestion to avoid evil people in his policy and for this, he has used the comparison of a snake. Let us know about some of the important verses of Chanakya Niti, which make it clear how we should avoid evil personalities and which people we should keep our distance from.
Comparison of evil person and snake
If we compare an evil person and a snake, then the snake is better because a snake bite once, while an evil person deceives at every step. Chanakya believed that it is very important to identify an evil person because he harms us again and again. They try to deceive us not just once, but all the time. On the contrary, the snake bites to protect itself, so we do not need to be afraid of the snake too much. This is the message of Chanakya that we should avoid evil people at all costs because their company can destroy our lives.
Avoid evil kings and disciples.
It is said in Chanakya Niti that we should stay away from an evil king, friend, or disciple because they can disturb the happiness and peace of our lives. The subjects can never be happy as compared to an evil king. Similarly, we will get very little benefit from an evil friend or disciple.
The subjects can never be happy in the kingdom of an evil king. We cannot find happiness with a wicked friend, there cannot be happiness in the house with a wicked wife and a wicked disciple can never bring us fame. Chanakya believed that if we keep a distance from such people, we can make our lives happy and peaceful. To progress and succeed in life, we need the company of good and noble people, so that we can get their right guidance.
It is wise to stay away from fools.
Chanakya has also advised us to keep a distance from fools, poor people, and prostitutes because these people can always hinder our progress in some way or the other. According to Chanakya, the mentality of fools and poor people is always full of jealousy and hatred. They remain jealous of us for some reason or the other and never allow us to walk on the right path.
Foolish people are jealous of scholars, poor people are jealous of rich people and prostitutes are jealous of noble women. This shloka of Chanakya teaches us that we should keep a distance from such people because they can make us victims of negativity and loss.

Avoid those who defame calm personalities.
Chanakya also said that we should avoid those who defame calm, learned, and Acharya persons. Such people speak ill of others only due to their ignorance and jealousy. Chanakya believed that those who defame the Vedas, scriptures, erudition, and virtue, suffer uselessly.
Those who defame calm and virtuous persons remain troubled in their lives because their act do not reduce the importance of these persons. Chanakya has said that one should always stay away from such negative persons because their behavior does not have any positive effect on our lives.
