Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The SPTSCON 2025 conference concluded on Sunday with insightful sessions and doctors participation from across the country. The final day featured expert presentations on management of thoracic tumors and prenatal diagnosis of surgical birth defects in the thoracic region, drawing keen interest from attendees.
Among the highlights of the day was the presentation of research papers by MCh and MS Surgery students, showcasing innovations and clinical studies in paediatric thoracic surgery. Around 30 research papers were presented under various categories and the best among them were awarded for their academic excellence.
Terror In The Sky: IndiGo Flight Circles Indore After Gear SnagDr Saroj Upadhyay Award, instituted by MP-CG Chapter of the Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons (IAPS), was also conferred during the ceremony. The award was presented by Dr Ajay Upadhyay from Gwalior, in honour of Dr Saroj Upadhyay, former Dean of GRMC Gwalior, whose contributions to paediatric surgery are widely respected.
The conference concluded with a valedictory session and award distribution, presided over by Dr Sumitra Biswas, President of IAPS and Dr Vikesh Agrawal, Secretary General of IAPS. The organising team, including Dr Manoj Joshi (Organising Chairman), Dr Manish Patel,
Dr Brijesh Lahoti and Dr Advait Prakash (Organising Secretary) received widespread appreciation for successfully conducting the event.
