Maharashtra Politics: State Congress Secretary Dilip Bhalerao, Along With Hundreds Of Supporters, Joins BJP

Mumbai: Congress candidate for the Umarga, Lohara assembly elections in Dharashiv district and state Congress secretary Dilip Bhalerao, former working president of the district Congress committee Prakash Ashte joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday along with hundreds of supporters.

The UBT group from Vasai-Virar, former district head, former corporators and office bearers of BVA, as well as office bearers and workers of various parties in Raigad and Amravati district also joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. 

BJP state president Ravindra Chavan welcomed everyone into the party. Senior leader MLA Prakash Bharasakale, MLA Sneha Dube Pandit, State General Secretary MLC Vikrant Patil, Madhavi Naik, former minister and Latur Rural District President Basavaraj Patil, Media Department Head Navnath Ban among others, were present at this program held at the state office.

10 former members of the Zilla Parishad, 11 former president Of Zilaa Parishad Committees, six former Presidents of Municipal Council, one chairman of market committee, 13 directors of the market committee in Dharashiv district, five former vice presidents of municipal council, five former deputy chairman, two directors of the District Central Co- Operative Bank and 15 municipal councillors also joined the BJP. Former President of Anjangaon Surji Municipal Council, in Amravati District, Devidas Nemade, also joined the BJP along with his colleagues. Many others also joined the party along with Shri Bapusaheb Songire of South Raigad.

On this occasion, State President Shri Chavan said that under the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the country and the state are moving forward strongly. All of them have joined the BJP with faith in their leadership and inspired by the development oriented policies of the BJP.

Mr. Chavan assured that everyone will be treated with respect in BJP and the party will stand firmly with them to get the work done in their areas.

On this occasion, Shri Basavaraj Patil expressed his confidence that he will ensure 100 percent success for BJP in the upcoming local body elections in Dharashiv district.

Those who joined BJP from Congress in Umarga and Lohara talukas include former ZP President Rajendra Jagtap, former Speaker Kisanrao Kamble, Baburao Rathod, Taluka Congress Committee President Subhash Rajole, Youth Congress President Chandrashekhar Pawar, Mahila Congress Committee President Sangita Kadganche, former Speaker Panchayat Member Sachin Patil, former Deputy Speaker Dagdu More, Datta Chinchole, former Zilla Parishad member Dr Vikram Jivange, Nagar Panchayat President Premlata Topge, among others.

Former Nalasopara district chief Pankaj Deshmukh of UBT, former corporator and former sub-district chief Kishore Patil, department chief Santosh Rane, Ravi Rathod, branch chief Dhanaji Patil, Vasai city coordinator Nilesh Bhanushe and deputy city chief Prakash Devlekar of UBT in Vasai also joined the BJP among others.

Many people including Gaurav Nemade, Nilesh Awandkar, Akash Yeul, Umesh Datir of Amravati Anjangaon Surji also joined the BJP. Many party office bearers from South Raigad also joined the BJP, including Nationalist Party department head Mukund Jambre Nhave, Shiv Sena city head Pradeep Goregaonkar of Goregaon, MNS department head Amol Pawar, MNS's Mandar Mahamunkar, Congress' Aniket Mahamunkar of Bhira village, Panhalghar Shiv Sena's Anil Mahadik, among others.
