Founded by Sahana Kumar, the restaurant opened its doors this February 16, at Hotel Varanda do Mar in Miramar. Raia is an ideal spot for those seeking convenient, high-quality dining, because here, meals are about celebrating flavours, laughter and togetherness.
The name 'Raia', which means 'rays', perfectly captures the welcoming atmosphere. The indoors feature cosy grey sofas, elegant bottle-green chairs, and a stunning wooden brown bar, all complemented by an abundance of light streaming through the large glass walls, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere during the day.
In the evening, the warm lights, along with gentle murmur of background music adds to the comfortable space, perfect for conversation and enjoying a meal.
With a background in hospitality, Sahana Kumar was eager to explore new and diverse , leading to the creation of Raia.
“My vision for the restaurant is to provide exceptional service, ensuring that every guest feels valued and appreciated. Our team strives to create a memorable dining experience that will leave a lasting impression on our guests,” says the founder.

The multi-cuisine restaurant offers a fine dining experience. Whether it’s the indulgent Sikandar Raan, the creamy Spinach And Ricotta Ravioli, a perfectly cooked Beef Steak with Corn Polenta, or Chicken Kepsa, there’s something for everyone.
