How long should one walk daily?
Dr. Manav says that if one walks for one minute daily, it improves blood flow in the body.
Mood improves if one walks for 5 minutes daily.
If one walks for 10 minutes, the stress hormone cortisol starts reducing.
The doctor told that if one walks for 15 minutes, it reduces blood sugar.
By walking for 30 minutes, body fat starts reducing. To lose weight, one can walk for half an hour daily.
If one walks for 45 minutes daily, it reduces overthinking.
On the other hand, if one walks for 60 minutes i.e. one hour, it increases dopamine. Dopamine is a feel good hormone and it keeps the mood good.
How to walk to lose weight
If you are going out for a walk, keep water with you to stay hydrated.
If you are going for a walk in the park, wear shoes. This keeps the speed good.
Don't just walk in one way, but do it in different ways. Walk for some time, then do a brisk walk and also do power walking for some time.
Instead of walking only on a straight path, also walk on a slope.
If you get time, then walk for 20 minutes after taking any meal. This leads to faster weight loss.
To make walking a part of your lifestyle, instead of getting off the car in front of the office, get down a little distance earlier and then come walking.
