Apple TV+ fans all have same solution as beloved comedy cancelled after 4 seasons

Subscribers of Apple TV+ are clamouring for more content after one of the platform's hit series, Mythic Quest, was axed following its four-season run.

The irreverent work-based comedy had returned with a bang earlier this year, only to have its fate sealed this week.

Fortunately, the streaming giant has promised viewers closure with an updated finale episode set to drop in just seven days.

Mythic Quest enthusiasts were gutted about the sudden curtain call for their beloved video game-centred show, particularly because its spin-off, Side Quest, had seemingly injected a fresh buzz into the saga.

Indeed, the breakout anthology series captured hearts, driving impassioned pleas from the audience for another branch-out—this time spotlighting the second chapter, Pull List, reports .

In this adored instalment, which features in a comic shop owned by Black entrepreneurs, five die-hard Mythic Quest fans hilariously vie for the last copy of the game's newest comic release. The stellar cast including Shalita Grant, Rome Flynn, William Stanford Davis, Bria Samoné Henderson, Ramon Reed, Leonard Robinson, and Gary Kraus really brought the script to life.

A dismayed fan aired their proposal on X (formerly ) amidst the bittersweet update: "This hurts. Ideally, the Pull List comic store episode of Side Quest would get a spinoff series.

"With the potential to film mainly on a single set, it'd be far cheaper than the main show and would console Mythic Quest fans a bit."

Another viewer pleaded: "So the episode 'pull list' from Side Quest / Mythic Quest deserves to double spin off into its own Apple TV+ show.

"The dramady, the comic book store setting, the quality of cast of characters. Apple, this was too good. Make it happen!"

Another fan chimed in: "The 'Pull List' episode of Mythic Quest spin off, SideQuest, is great. Set in a black-owned comic shop, I hope it's being treated as a pilot for a separate sitcom."

The sentiment was echoed on , where another viewer commented: "I loved this episode and wish it was a full series.

"These characters all remind me of people I know IRL, conversations I've had with friends, the old days of waiting for my pull of the death of Superman run and dealing with sports card collectors in the same shop. It was so fun and this episode brought back all those memories. It really captured the magic of that time."
