The future of Battlefield is nearly upon us, and if rumours are to be trusted, we might have the opportunity to try out the latest title before its official release.
Battlefield 6 is once again making a significant play for the big leagues. Although it hasn't made a substantial impact on the hierarchy of shooters in the gaming world since the days of Battlefield 3 and 4, the franchise has kept plodding along, eventually turning the disaster of Battlefield 2042 into a game that found its footing, even if many potential fans had already moved on by then. Now, the series is back for vengeance.
As the Black Ops 6 Season 5 start date gets underway, Battlefield is vying for attention once more as it unveils Battlefield 6, the latest in the franchise's efforts to bring destructible environments and total chaos within the bounds of realism back into focus. Fortunately for players, there's also a chance for them to get involved early, with leaked details of a Battlefield 6 beta coming even before the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal to keep players intrigued.
So, how exactly can you get involved in the Battlefield 6 beta? Here's what you need to know about the upcoming closed and open tests.

Battlefield 6 beta leaked start dateAccording to Insider Gaming, sources have suggested that there will be two Battlefield 6 betas taking place in August, one open, and one closed.
Sources suggest that a closed beta will occur between Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8. This can be accessed via Twitch Drops by watching any of the content creators streaming the multiplayer reveal of the game, or by pre-ordering the title.
The beta is then expected to open up to more players for the rest of the weekend until Sunday, August 10. The second beta, believed to be officially an open beta, is reported to take place between Thursday, August 14 and Sunday, August 17.
Without any official confirmation, it's advised not to start splashing out on game pre-orders until these details are announced by EA. However, it's still an exciting prospect that suggests we could have the opportunity to help Battlefield Studios shape the future of the franchise.
