Benjamin Sesko's big age gap with girlfriend as he weighs up Man Utd and Newcastle

Benjamin Sesko has been a serious target for a few Premier League teams this summer, including Manchester United and Newcastle. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Anita Vidovic, has also caught the attention of fans, especially given she is five years his senior.

Sesko has been a standout player for RB Leipzig, scoring an impressive 21 goals across all competitions in the 2024/25 season. Despite the Bundesligateam's lacklustre performance, which saw them finish outside the top four, the Slovenian international remained a consistent force on the pitch.

Ruben Amorim and United's hierarchy have noticed Sesko's prowess, but they're not the only ones. Newcastle are also keen to secure Sesko's services, particularly as Alexander Isak is now looking to explore other transfer options this summer.

After extending his contract until 2029 last summer, Sesko will likely take some time to decide his next move. One person he'll likely turn to for advice is his girlfriend, Anita Vidovic.

Cosmopolitan report the 27-year-old is originally from Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, and graduated from the Faculty of Public Administration.

Anita is no stranger to the world of football. Her brother Boris has made 25 professional appearances in Germany and Poland's lower leagues, playing for teams like TSV Bicken and Ritzing.

The 28-year-old hung up his boots in 2024 and has since ventured into reality television, featuring in series 12 of Love Island as a Casa Amor bombshell. Whilst it remains unconfirmed, it's probable that the elder Vidovic supports Sesko in the same way as his sister, who regularly appears wearing her boyfriend's football shirt on social media.

The Leipzig striker rarely shares posts about his partner on his social platforms, restricting Anita's appearances to the occasional Instagram grid post. On the other hand, the 27-year-old WAG displays her man's romantic side on her TikTok often.

Garnering approximately 20,000 views per clip, Anita reveals Sesko's affectionate acts for birthdays, anniversaries and other memorable moments. Videos of the duo dancing, sharing warm embraces and travelling the world together fill her feed, alongside her cheering on the forward from the stands at Leipzig.

In one post from early 2025, Anita compiled numerous romantic footage of the pair and wrote, "It was always you," alongside a white love-heart emoji.

Footage shows Sesko playing with a young lion cub, demonstrating his skills at the driving range, enjoying a basketball match and dancing aboard a boat with his girlfriend.

United supporters will be hoping that Anita will persuade her partner to choose the Red Devils over other possible Premier League clubs, but it appears her influence may not be required.

Sesko has reportedly been impressed by United's strategy and their eagerness to secure a deal. It's suggested he received concrete figures about what he could earn and bring to Amorim's vision.

It's been reported that Sesko and Leipzig have a 'gentlemen's agreement', suggesting the 22-year-old could depart for a 'special club'. Given their rich history and trophy haul, United certainly fit the bill.

However, given Eddie Howe's Carabao Cup-winning side are also interested in Sesko, their ability to offer Champions League football could tempt the Slovenian star.

With other clubs eyeing Sesko, it appears Amorim and United's top brass will need to act swiftly to secure the forward. However, Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins is another player on United's radar, indicating it won't be a case of signing both.
