Pop megastar Justin Bieber popped into a fish and chip shop in Scotland and sang the menu - but the boss had "absolutely no idea who it was".
The singer grabbed a bite to eat at Cromars Fish and Chips, a takeaway outlet in St Andrews, Fife, after attending the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. However, Charles Mair and his team were so busy they did not realise the scruffy-looking lad was a pop phenomenon - even though he crooned the menu.
Speaking yesterday, Charles, 47, said: "To tell you the truth, we had absolutely no idea who it was. We were very, very busy because of the Dunhill Cup event at Gleneagles. So we were rushing around when all of a sudden this customer started tapping his hands on the counter and singing the menu.
"He was by himself but had two other friends with him who were helping him with the order. He placed his order and we cook fresh-to-order so he had to wait like everyone else, he was very charming and nice. And then we actually realised who it was. Half of St Andrews knew who it was so we got extremely busy."

Charles said Bieber, who boasts 293 million followers on Instagram, was "respectful" despite the queue in the shop, and was content to wait for his haddock and chips. The Canadian hit maker has since posted a series of photos on social media showing his trip to Scotland - including one taken by a customer of him holding his beer outside Cromars Fish and Chips.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Charles added: "A lot of people came in as well. It was a good, buzzing atmosphere, he was very nice, very respectful. He took it away because there was no space inside unfortunately. We have a takeaway licence, so he was allowed to do that.
"He was probably here for about 15 minutes. It takes about seven to ten minutes to cook the fish and the waiting time because we were very busy. It was an interesting experience to be honest. He was absolutely fine with other customers, very happy and relaxed. Very nice and chilled out."

Bieber, 31, is in Scotland playing golf at Gleneagles, where he was staying at the five-star hotel. After his trip to St Andrews, he then hit the pub trail in Dundee, which is around 10 miles north.
And in Dundee, the singer was spotted in a tiny pub frequented by shocked regulars, it is reported. It is said the star, who is a father of one, was captured by fans sitting quietly in the corner of the boozer enjoying a beer, as well as playing on an arcade machine.
