Kate Garrawaytook to her Instagram page to share a ‘catastrophe’ that she faced when working for Good Morning Britain, as she shares a look behind the scenes. The GMB presenter hopped on the camera while the weather was being filmed to reveal that she might have done something to upset one of her co-stars.
After panning the camera around the room, which showed off some computer screens, Kate, 58, admitted: “I’ve had a catastrophe, I just dropped my hairbrush on the floor and it smashed, but look who it actually belongs to”. She then revealed it belonged to her co-star Susanna Reid.
Feeling a little guilty for the accident, Kate said: “Susanna, I am really sorry, I’ve broken your hairbrush, sorry about that”.
Alongside the video, Kate wrote the caption: “So sorry @susannareid100 ! Hairbrush catastrophe minutes before going on air @gmb ! Will buy new one ! #bankholidaymonday”.

Kate's bank holiday Monday brought even more drama as she was forced to present a segment alone as Richard Madeley abruptly walked off set to go and use the bathroom.
The moment happened as the presenters welcomed Raymond Martin, managing director of the British Toilet Association, to discuss the lack of public toilets. He informed viewers thar there are now almost half as many public toilets as there were 25 years ago. He also added that Britain is facing a “national crisis of convenience”.
However, the talk of toilets sparked an urge for Richard to go, as he said, “Talking about it, now I need to go on a break”. As Kate attempted to present what was coming up on the show, Richard couldn’t wait, so he abruptly got out of his seat and began to walk off set to go to the toilet.
The Bank Holiday Monday show also revealed that it could be a record-breakingly warm day as the Bank Holiday in Britain is forecast to be one of the hottest ever. Temperatures in some parts of the country could even reach tropical levels of up to 30 degrees.
Weather presenter, Laura Tobin, stated: "Good morning to you. It is a Bank Holiday Monday for some of us, and it could be record-breakingly warm. And it is down to the remnants of record-breakingly warm hurricane Erin that brought very stormy conditions across eastern parts of America.

She added: "This is a satellite showing the spiral of clouds heading our way and what it does is it brings up very warm air from the nearby continent.
"So these are the highest temperatures that England, Wales, and Northern Ireland have seen on August Bank Holiday Monday, and Wales and Northern Ireland could break those records today."
