In a separate chat on Match of the Day, Rooney even insisted he wanted to take on big jobs with his former clubs at Everton or Manchester United one day, but admitted he must go through a "process" to keep improving.

"Managing Manchester United or is the aim, these big jobs are where you want to get to. But it's a process I have got to go through the steps and get myself back on track.
