Emmerdale viewers could see April Windsor (played by Amelia Flanagan) back on the streets after almost killing her brother Leo Goskirk (Harvey Rogerson). This came after she was forced to become a full-time dealer by drug lord Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), and everything took a disastrous turn. The youngster collapsed and was rushed to the hospital after taking one of the pills that April had been selling after it fell out of her bag. With Leo being urgently treated, police and social services were informed, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) suspecting April immediately.

However, just as April was close to confessing, she spotted police officers and fled in panic. April later vented to her boyfriend, Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) and revealed that she wanted to tell the truth, even if that meant exposing the illegal dealings. However, little did she know that Ray overheard everything and was determined to do whatever it takes to stop his empire from being exposed and avoid jail time.

However, with Rhona suspicious of April's involvement in Leo's hospitalisation, the teenager could be forced to return to leave home.

The coming episodes will see Rhona still apoplectic about April having almost killed her brother by dropping the pill, and she is struggling with her living with them.

In an effort to keep the peace, the family discusses April's living arrangements while her father, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), is unsure whether to allow her to move out, certain it would isolate her more.

While regretful April seems resolute on staying with "friends" in order to appease Rhona, and as a devastating result, April tells Ray that she'll be taking up the offer of a room.

Marlon encourages her to reconsider moving out, but April remains resolute and is also emotional about leaving home.

Elsewhere, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) is concerned to see April at the bus stop with a packed bag and insists she move into the B&B. The teenager is relieved not to have to accept Ray's offer.

Rhona and Marlon worry they've been too harsh with April, but are awash with relief when Bob reveals she's moved into the B&B with him. Although Ray's annoyed.

The next day, Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) happens to walk in when Rhona and Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) are discussing April. Celia joins their conversation and bolsters Rhona's belief that she has done the right thing, thus ensuring April stays well away from home.
