London fire sends huge plumes of smoke billowing across main road

Huge plumes of smokes have been seen billowing over north London after a fire broken out near Hanger Lane roundabout, according to reports on social media. One user on X shared a video of a car on fire, said to be by the roundabout.

The Daily Express has approached the London Fire Brigade for a statement. TV comic Shaparak Khorsandi was among those to see smoke fill the sky. She shared a couple of alarming images on X shortly before 3pm on Tuesday, saying: "Crazy smoke/fire on hanger lane roundabout. Avoid. Smoke clouding visibility now. Firefighters arriving."
