The recent PlayStation State of Play event featured everything from gameplay reveals for Wolverine, to new PS Plus Essentials and Extra games launching in the coming days and weeks.
Sony also announced the next Microsoft-published game coming to PS5, confirming that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will make its PlayStation debut on December 8.
If that wasn't enough, Sony told viewers that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will receive a special PSVR 2 patch in 2026.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is one of the most technically impressive games of the past decade, featuring 150 airports and thousands of points of interest.
The ability to play the game in virtual reality using the PSVR 2 headset is arguably one of the best reasons to invest in the hardware, which is pretty funny given this is a Microsoft-published release.
Even better is that according to Sony, the PSVR 2 update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be available as a free download.
Sony explains more: "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 takes flight on PS5 December 8.
"Pursue your aviation career with dynamically-generated missions, compete against other pilots, and explore the most detailed digital twin of the world to date.
"Set out on your global adventure with a large fleet of aircraft, and enjoy the full game in PS VR2 with a free update that will be available in 2026."
The PlayStation VR 2 headset is currently available for £399.99 from retailers like Argos.
If you can't afford to purchase a headset now, then there's a good chance the device will be discounted for Black Friday.
In addition to Microsoft Flight Sim 2024, Sony announced new games like Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered and Deus Ex Remastered.
That's on top of new Battlefield 6 campaign footage, as well as a new Gran Turismo 7 update, and a Nioh 3 release date.
The Last of Us Part 2 was announced for PS Plus Extra on September 26, while Alan Wake 2 headlines the PS Plus Essentials for October.
The show ended with an extended look at Marvel's Wolverine, which launches exclusively for PS5 next autumn.
The superhero action game is for mature audiences only, featuring buckets of blood thanks to some gruesome combat moves courtesy of the titular hero.
