Nottingham fire LIVE: Locals evacuated as huge blaze rips through UK city

Eight fire engines were called to tackle a fire in tonight.

The incident is located in Holgate Road in The Meadows, with the city's fire service saying is was receiving a large number of calls about what it described as an "industrial fire".

were called in at just after 8pm.

A Nottingham Police spokesperson said: "We are currently at the scene of large fire in Beauvale Road, The Meadows. Multiple properties have been evacuated and several road closures are in place.

"Members of the public are asked to avoid the area. More details to follow."
