and her husband, , have arrived in Turkey for a two-day visit where they will be carrying out a number of crucial duties. Starting off this morning, Princess Anne attended a commemorative service at the Çanakkale Martyrs' Memorial to mark the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli Campaign.
The next step of the busy visit will see the Princess and Sir Tim join a service at the Morto Bay French National Cemetery. At the French Commemoration, The Princess Royal will lay a wreath at the Lantern Tower Memorial and place flowers on the graves of the French soldiers who lost their lives during the conflict.
This will be followed by the Princess, who is President of the Commonwealth Graves Commission (CWGC), visiting the grave of Lieutenant Colonel Charles Doughty-Wylie, who was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross for service at Gallipoli.
Carrying on with her first day, the Princess will deliver a message on behalf of The King at a memorial service at the Cape Helles Memorial for the United Kingdom, Commonwealth and Irish servicemen.
Defence Attaché staff, family, and veterans will walk the CWGC Torch of Remembrance down the aisle to represent the handing over of remembrance to the younger generations.
The first day of the key visit will finish with a tour of the Seddülbahir Castle, which has recently been restored in a 25-year process. While there, Anne will unveil a plaque to mark the visit after greeting local CWGC staff, firefighters and residents.

The two-day visit to Turkey comes after Sir Tim was recovering from a suspected torn ligament, which he was understood to have acquired while working on her Gatcombe estate.
Before he joined the Princess and other members of the Royal Family at the Easter Sunday Matins Service in Windsor, he had last been seen on the mend and grasping onto two crutches back in February to attend an event in Swindon.
