Royal Family RECAP: Prince William and Kate's role in Andrew drama revealed

Prince William and Princess Kate had a key role in making sure Andrew was fully removed from royal life, it has been revealed today. The Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly made it clear to King Charles that a full break from Andrew was the only way the monarchy could move forward.

This is believed to have helped the King, 76, in his decision to formally strip Andrew of all his royal titles and remove him from his Royal Lodge home in Windsor. This decision was confirmed on Thursday.

It is also believed the future King and Queen were concerned that the Windsor estate would be "forever tainted" if Andrew stayed there, a source told The Daily Mail.
