Strictly Come Dancing fans have confirmed they will "never watch again" if Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman's replacements come in the form of a controversial duo. On a new Reddit thread, fans have been speculating who would be the "worst" duo to take over after Tess and Claudia handed in their notices last week.
Plenty of fans said they would be "out" if Amanda Holden and Alan Carr take on the job - suggesting that the stars could make a more permanent move from ITV to the BBC after Amanda landed her presenting role on The Inner Circle and Alan joined Celebrity Traitors on the network.
Another insisted they would "throw away their TV" if Kate Garraway and Piers Morgan stepped in.
But it was the suggestion of Dancing on Ice host Holly Willoughby that some fans thought most likely, with one writing: "If Holly Willoughby gets anywhere near it, I'm out!"
Someone else mused: "Disagree massively. Holly Willoughby to me in Tess's role would be perfect. There aren't any suggested who have her CV. She's done live prime time dancing tv host on ITV's Dancing On Ice which was ITV's version of Strictly Come Dancing!
"Holly Willoughby actually has a personality in addition to the 20 years of live prime time TV hosting Dancing On Ice. She'd fit in perfect in my opinion. If you put an inexperienced host in there in that Tess role it may be horrific for the show!
"Holly Willoughby is the best choice to replace Tess and Claudia's role to me could go to say Angela Scanlon who would be good in that role."
Someone else fumed: "A lot of people don't like Holly and so I don't think it would be a wise choice for the BBC. And we need at least one host who is funny. Brucie was very funny and so is Claudia."
"Holly isn't my choice, she feels too ITV to host Strictly, but there are loads of worse names than her," another fan echoed. "Really don't get why she seems to be the main target of the 'anyone but...'"
