The Yorkshire Vet favourite Peter Wright has received an outpouring of support from devoted viewers following a touching social media tribute to his beloved wife.
The Channel 5 starhas captured hearts since the programme launched in 2015, having started his career alongside All Creatures Great and Small author James Herriot (whose real name was Alfred Wight).
Throughout his television career, Peter has rescued countless animals whilst working alongside Julian Norton and their dedicated colleagues.
The popular vet has now offered followers a glimpse into his personal life, marking his wife Lin's special day on October 13.
"Happy Birthday to my wife," he penned, accompanied by a charming photograph of the couple together, reports Yorkshire Live.

Fans rushed to send their well-wishes to Lin, with one writing: "Happy birthday lovely Lin!"
"Happy Birthday, Lin! I hope you have a birthday that is as special as you both are!" another said.
A third added: "Hope you have had a lovely Birthday Lin and Peter has been spoiling you. Many happy returns."
Lin and Peter have been married for 40 years, and share two children together. Their romance first began in 1984, with Lin previously sharing that they met at a joint work event with her dentist's office and his local veterinary practice mixing.

She went on: "There was a spark straight away but, oddly for our first date, he took me to an abattoir. An old cow who couldn't be used for meat was being slaughtered.
"Peter wanted to observe and work out what was wrong with the cow. I waited for him outside. It didn't get much better as it went on, really!"
This comes after a "sad" admission Peter made about his wife during an appearance on James Martin's Saturday Morning earlier this year.
Opening up about leaving his family home to film a project in India, Peter revealed that Lin had unfortunately suffered a broken ankle and wrist as he was probed on whether he "ventures into the kitchen very often".
"That's maybe a bit of an understatement," Peter began.
"Lin, sadly, last year, broke her ankle and wrist, and she was bed-bound. She couldn't bear weight for a considerable time, and she wanted to bring the bed down to the kitchen," he explained.
"That was my first mistake. At that point, very shortly after that, two things, one is I'm no carer, and two is I'm no cook.
"Well, what happened was I'd be beavering away. I mean, it was out of sight because there's a breakfast bar in front of it, right, the bed was on the other side, and there she is, 'That doesn't sound right. That's boiling too hard. I can hear it. You've got to listen as well as watch'."
Peter concluded, "And so things went from bad to worse and diplomatic relations got written off on numerous occasions."
The Yorkshire Vet airs Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 5.
