Directed by Jared Hess, ‘A Minecraft Movie’ is a fantasy adventure comedy based on the 2011 video game Minecraft. Headlined by ‘The Aquaman’ star Jason Momoa, with actors like Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, and Sebastian Hansen in pivotal roles, the movie has crossed the Rs 5 crore mark in the Indian market, according to the Sacnilk report.
The movie that follows the story of four misfits was released on Friday, i.e, April 4, 2025. Though its debut failed to reach a perfect Rs. 1 crore at the Indian box office, the following weekend saw a rise in the collection. The movie minted Rs. 1.98 crore (combined from English and Hindi) on Saturday, which was day 2, and with a rise of 20 percent, inched closer to Rs. 2.50 crore on Sunday. However, the film saw a sharp dip in business on its first Monday. The earnings fell to Rs. 0.55 crore on day 4. So, after a theatrical run of 4 days, the movie stands at Rs. 5.86 crore in India.

On the other hand, the Hindi occupancy rate on Monday was 5.07%. The lowest footfall was seen during the morning shows -3.90 %. Afternoon shows saw more traction with 6.69% occupancy. However, just like the English shows, the occupancy rate in Hindi also dropped in the later hours. The evening shows recorded an occupancy of 5.16%, and it went down to 4.51% at night.
