"TNA creative, it's on you!": Will TNA allow a match between Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz?

Send Push
The Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz are two of the most popular tag teams in wrestling history. They had many great matches in WWE, especially with Edge & Christian. Now, there’s talk that these two legendary teams might face each other one last time, and fans are getting excited.

This possible match may happen in TNA Wrestling . Bully Ray, a part of the Dudley Boyz, recently spoke about it and said that both teams want the match. But there is one thing stopping it which is the decision from the management of TNA. If TNA gives the green signal, fans could soon witness this dream match again.

Bully Ray says it is up to TNA Management

Bully Ray spoke about the match on the Busted Open radio show. Host Dave LaGreca brought up the idea and shared that D-Von Dudley is back in good shape. Also, Matt and Jeff Hardy are still wrestling, and so is Bully Ray. That means everyone is ready to go.

"You can't blame us, you can't blame the Hardys," began Bully Ray. "Listen, I'm letting you know, it's not up to [us] ... [it's up to] the brass at TNA, the people who run the joint at TNA — TNA ownership, TNA bosses, TNA creative, it's on you. Including the guy who's supposedly my best friend [Tommy Dreamer], who works on this show also."

Bully Ray said clearly that both teams want the match, but it is not their decision. It’s now up to the people in charge at TNA to make it happen. He even called out Tommy Dreamer, who works in TNA creative and is also part of the Busted Open show.

If Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz go head-to-head
The last time the Dudley Boyz and Hardy Boyz had a normal tag team match was in 2014 in TNA, which was called Impact Wrestling back then. They were also part of a four-team match in 2016, but it is been a long time since they had a two-on-two tag match.

Matt Hardy first brought up the idea during his podcast. Bully Ray responded by saying that Matt probably challenged them because there are not many big tag teams in TNA right now.

D-Von Dudley had stopped wrestling in 2016 but returned in 2023. Since his return, he has had three matches, all teaming up with Bully Ray. This shows that he’s back in shape and ready for one more big match.

Fans would love to see the Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz go head-to-head for at least one last time. The teams are ready, and D-Von is back in the ring. Now, all that is left is for TNA to say yes. If they do, it could be one of the most exciting tag team matches in a long time.
