As Season 3 in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is about to end in a week or so, Treyarch has recently announced another double XP event for the final push. Season 3 was released on April 2, 2025 with lots of fresh content, for example: maps like Barrage, Nomad, game modes like Joint Operations LTM, the Ladra SMG and many more.
However, the mid-season refresh called Season 3 Reloaded wasn’t refreshing at all because it failed to quench the thirst of the fans who have been waiting for more in-game treats. Still, it’s more than a week until Season 4 gets released, and the recently revealed double XP event will surely help the fans to complete the Season 3 Reloaded Battle Pass.
Call of Duty announces last double XP event for Season 3 Reloaded
The final double XP event of Season 3 Reloaded in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will begin on May 23, 2025. The surprising part is that it was just last week when the game dropped a double XP event on May 15. It seems fans were hugely disappointed with the mid-season update that they didn’t care for the Season 3 Reloaded Battle Pass anymore.
However, Treyarch might want fans to complete the Battle Pass at least, as most of them are eagerly waiting for Season 4 to drop on May 29, 2025. This recently announced double XP event can be accessed from the in-game event tab when it gets released and will be available until May 26.
Players need to keep in mind that this event is specifically based on double player & weapon XP. However, those who want a double Battle Pass XP, have to wait for this weekend. The upcoming event will be beneficial for the players who are looking to upgrade their weapons.
Despite this upcoming event, all the eyes will be on Season 4 for sure. This season is rumored to bring back a lot of forgotten aspects of the game, like Olympia Shotgun, or the Grim Reaper multishot rocket launcher scorestreak. However, there has been no details revealed by Treyarch yet, but an explanatory blog is believed to be dropped tomorrow.
