YouTuber-turned-boxer Olajide Olayinka Williams, "JJ" Olatunji, popularly known as KSI, had pulled out of the fight against Dillon Danis scheduled for March 29, 2025. He had previously withdrawn himself from a two-on-one fight with Slim Albahar and Anthony Taylor owing to a hand injury. The fight with Danis had similar health-related issues, which KSI confirmed in a video post that stated the cancellation of the match. The fighter recently uploaded a video on YouTube, stating about his possible retirement, which has sent a shockwave amongst the fans and the combat sports community.
After months of inactivity, KSI returns to social media and talks about several interesting issuesKSI has been quite inactive in the past few months owing to his health-related issues. Upon coming up with his recent upload, he was quite relieved to have interacted with the fans after a long period of time.
“What’s up! It’s your boy KSI. It's been a while since we got the Reddit video. I feel like I have missed a lot and I feel like this is a video that will set the record straight or as straight as I can”
The fighter went on to talk about a lot of things in this video, which included football reviews, roast videos, memes, as well as a deliberation on the revival of “The Roast of Sidemen.” While talking about his retirement from boxing and the issues he has been facing lately, the boxer stated, “The amount of stress I’ve gone through over the past few years. Even with Misfits in general, it’s been stressful.” He went on to add, “I feel like I’ve aged in these two and a half years of Misfits being created. So, where am I in terms of boxing? I don’t know. Am I going to retire? I don’t know. Am I going to fight again? I don’t know.”
The psychological impact of bad health is huge, and this might have stemmed from his recent sickness that led to the cancellation of his fight against Danis. The fighter, on the social media platform X, expressed his disappointment upon his body not favoring him anymore.
“I've tried my hardest but my body has legit just given up.” further adding, “"The tension headaches that I'm getting are more painful than you can imagine. I'm using Sudafed daily. I've tried sparring and training but my body just feels weak. My stamina has just fallen off a cliff. I can't even taste right now or smell. Basically, I'm f*****. I've been ill for almost three weeks and it's just not got better."

The boxer seems to be quite unsure of his future course of action, especially when it is about stepping into the ring. The last bout that panned out full-fledgedly for the boxer was against Tommy Fury. Even though the match was won initially by a split decision, later on it was turned into a unanimous decision. It is only a matter of time when we will either see an official announcement of the boxer’s retirement or a comeback bout for the fighter.
