Four women allegedly delivered babies under the torchlight of mobile phones because of a power cut , reportedly caused by a transformer snag , at a primary health centre (PHC) in UP's Ballia .
The allegations have come just days after a video of a woman delivering a baby on the floor at a community health centre in the same district went viral. Ballia's chief medical officer , Dr Sanjeev Burman said, "After such claims, I sought an explanation from Beruarbari PHC in-charge and officials. When it became clear that the hospital's transformer was damaged, it was replaced, while the generator was also found in fit condition. The course of action will be decided after the probe report."
