Belthangady: Shraddha Shetty, a young student from Eninje in Laila, Belthangady taluk, has earned a place in the India Book of Records for creating the largest floral rangoli.
The rangoli, made entirely with fresh flowers, used a variety of blooms including kanakambaram (orange), jasmine (white), marigold (yellow), and other colorful flowers. The artwork measured 8 feet in width and was completed in just 1 hour and 40 minutes — attracting admiration for its detail and beauty.
The India Book of Records officially confirmed the achievement on February 3, 2025. However, the official certificate was awarded to Shraddha on April 4, bringing much joy to her family and community.
Shraddha, who is currently pursuing a B.Sc. at SDM College, expressed her happiness at receiving this unique honor and thanked everyone for their support.
Her artistic accomplishment has drawn widespread appreciation for combining tradition with creativity, and for showcasing the beauty of floral art.
