Ahmedabad, April 10 Gujarat Titans delivered a commanding performance in the 23rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, defeating Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium. With this win, Gujarat climbed to the top of the IPL points table, securing eight points from five matches.

Sai Sudharsan Shines Again With Match-Winning Knock

Batting first, Gujarat Titans posted a formidable total of 217/6 in their 20 overs. Opener Sai Sudharsan was the star of the innings, scoring a superb 82 runs, marking his fourth half-century of the season.

Other key contributions:

  • Shahrukh Khan 36 runs

  • Rahul Tewatia 24 runs off just 12 balls

  • Rashid Khan 12 runs

  • Captain Shubman Gill Dismissed early for just 2 runs

For Rajasthan, Tushar Deshpande and Maheesh Theekshana picked up two wickets each, while Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma claimed one apiece.

Rajasthan’s Chase Falters Early

In reply, Rajasthan Royals crumbled under pressure and were bowled out for 159 in 19.2 overs. The early dismissals of Yashasvi Jaiswal (6) and Nitish Rana (1) put them on the back foot.

Though Sanju Samson (41) and Riyan Parag (26) showed resistance, it was Shimron Hetmyer who led the charge with a fiery 52 off 32 balls. However, the lack of support from the other end meant Rajasthan fell well short of the target.

Gujarat Bowlers Seal the Victory

Gujarat Titans’ bowlers put in a disciplined performance to stifle Rajasthan’s chase:

  • Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore: 2 wickets each
