Send Push

Mumbai, April 18 Sunny Deol’s action-packed drama Jaat, which hit the silver screens on April 10, continues to perform steadily at the box office. While its initial run was met with moderate enthusiasm, the film has now gathered momentum and managed to earn ₹4 crore on its eighth day, according to the latest report from box office tracker Sacnilk.

This brings the total collection of Jaat to an impressive ₹61.50 crore within eight days of its theatrical run, putting it well on track to recover its overall production budget.

Strong Performances Fuel the Film’s Popularity

Directed by renowned South Indian filmmaker Gopichand Malineni, Jaat features Sunny Deol in a commanding role, with Randeep Hooda delivering a power-packed performance as the film’s antagonist. Hooda’s intense portrayal has been widely praised by critics and audiences alike. The film also stars Vineet Kumar Singh in a key supporting role, adding further depth to the ensemble.

Despite a slower start, positive word of mouth and loyal fan support have contributed to a gradual increase in footfall, especially in North Indian circuits.

Sunny Deol Confirms Sequel Amid Growing Buzz

Building on the film’s momentum, Sunny Deol recently announced the sequel Jaat 2 via social media. Sharing a teaser poster, he wrote, “Jaat is back on a new mission. Get ready for Jaat 2.” This confirmation has further fueled audience excitement, boosting the film’s continued performance at the box office.

New Box Office Clash Emerges

Initially, Jaat faced little resistance, with Salman Khan’s Sikandar underperforming in theaters. However, the dynamics have shifted with the release of Kesari: Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar. The new release could challenge Jaat’s earnings in the coming days, setting the stage for a competitive box office battle between two major Bollywood stars.

Still, Jaat’s stable run and sequel announcement indicate that the film has carved out a space for itself, with more to come in the franchise.
